Ever wonder what is texturing and mapping, This terms are more familiar to 3D modeler and artist. Well little that I know that actually in photography there is a wide usage of mapping and texturing. I got inspired by videos and also still images post by some friends on FaceBook.  I start visualizing the image that i wanted it to be. I then search online for some texture layers to map into my image.

Easiest Steps of Texturing and Mapping Using Photoshop.
First of all get your texture image ready. It can be any form of texture image. Wood, Water, Land, Stone or what ever. Then use  layered in a way that the texture layers stays ontop and the main image, will be the bottom layer. Make the main image into a non saturated image, I.E Black and White Select the top texture layer and chose ther blending mode to multiply, and you will start seeing result. Use the eraser tools to erase off the unwanted texture layers.

As you can see this above image, The texture layer that went out of the face was erased and you will get a result of the cracked earth image wraps around the face.

And after the above piece of work, It inspired me again for the Theme “Dry Skin” So I did a final Art work to look like a Commercial Print for one of friend’s beauty saloon : Observe the Image Below

Yesterday I did some experiment on compositing images. What I really done for this is nothing more than image layering, cropping, layer masking and opacity in Photoshop. You can try to play with some lines and it looks quite neat and fine for image compositing. Below is the sample image done
